Ethyl Parabens
Ethyl paraben is an odorless white crystalline powder known for its remarkable purity and ease of quality control during manufacturing. Ethyl paraben cosmetics and personal care applications include as an antimicrobial in toothpaste, mascara, eye shadow and eyeliner. Acme-Hardesty offers a 99-percent pure ethyl paraben cosmetic additive that is non-irritating and features low toxicity. Our ethyl paraben comes packaged in cartons and offers a shelf life of up to three years when stored according to MSDS recommendations.
Propyl Parabens
As with ethyl parabens, propyl parabens serve as preservatives in personal care products and cosmetics and are extremely effective in preventing the growth of bacteria and fungus. Propyl parabens range from white to almost-white in color and emit a faint odor. Acme-Hardesty offers propyl parabens in NF kosher and fine powder formulas that provide a shelf life of up to three years. Our propyl parabens meet all NF standards of USP and comply with all PhEur and BP requirements.
Butyl Parabens
Butyl paraben is an organic material available as a white crystalline powder that dissolves easily in organic solvents. Acme-Hardesty offers butyl paraben with a minimum purity of 99 percent, making it ideally suited for numerous cosmetic and personal care product manufacturing applications.
In low concentrations, butyl paraben is an extremely effective antimicrobial in products such as toothpaste, sunscreen, lipstick and mascara, and even as a preservative in some food products. Our butyl paraben comes packaged in cartons and features a shelf life of two years.
Methyl Parabens
Methyl parabens are also extremely effective as anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents in cosmetics and personal care products. Typical methyl paraben cosmetics applications include as a preservative in mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow. We sell methyl paraben as a fine white powder packaged in 55# cartons.
