More information on Acme Ultra Mortar Admixture
ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE is the companion product for ACME ULTRA providing water repellency and efflorescence control to the mortar. When ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE is added to mortar, it helps retard seepage through mortar joints and reduces efflorescence. Product is stable, with no hazardous or toxic ingredients.
How To Use: Shake well before using. Add at least one half of the normal mixing water to the mixer then add ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE
at the rate below. Add the sand, the cement, lime, and then the water as needed. A reduction in normal water addition may be required.
Keep ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE above freezing. Freezing will severely damage the product and the product will be unusable.
Rates:
If Portland cement and lime are employed in making M,S,N type mortar – 16 ounces of Acme ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE should be added for each one hundred pounds of cement. For each bag of pre-mixed M,S, or N type masonry cement, add 8 ounces of ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE. Mixing time should be a minimum of five (5) minutes. Any admixture, such as accelerators, antifreeze agents, retarders, and plasticizers, to be used in conjunction with ULTRA MORTAR ADMIXTURE should be cleared for use by an Acme-hardesty Co. representative to assure compatibility.
