More information on Acme Hardscape Plus
Acme Hardscape Plus is an integral, polymeric, liquid admixture designed specifically for use in the manufacture of SRWs, pavers and block for strength enhancement. It also imparts long lasting efflorescence control to these products. At higher dosages it is an effective water repellent.
How to Use:
In normal weight concrete, with proper gradation, 6-12 ounces of Acme Hardscape Plus per 100 pounds of cement provides the user with an effective efflorescence control agent.
If full water repellency is required, dosages of 16 to 24 ounces may be required depending on block density.
Always test for water repellency as mix design is a critical part of the issue.
Users should determine proper dosage for their units through their own testing.
Acme Hardscape Plus should be added to the final water. In no case should Acme Hardscape Plus come in contact with dry cement or dry colors, as “balling” may occur, resulting in uneven dispersion of Acme Hardscape Plus throughout the batch. Care should be taken to make sure material does not freeze as this will destroy the product.
